Incorporated in 2000, ZMC International was initially set up to focus on non-equipment products and services. Its first project was the joint venture with Soft Test Inc, to establish Soft Test Asia which provides Test Technology classes in the Asian region. Soft Test Asia today is an independent business unit within the ZMC Group.

At the same time, a Chemicals Division was also set up to specialize in the sales of Industrial Chemicals. These include high-tech precision chemicals, detergents, disinfectants and industrial and functional coating materials.

ZMC International also extended its representation of equipment for the Petroleum and Petrochemical industries from China to South-east Asia, especially in the area of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
